Louie B. Nunn Center for Oral History Interview

The source for Regret, Repent, Rejoice is, of course, Southern Harmony, first published in 1835. Every fourth Sunday in May, The "Big Sing” takes place in the old courthouse in Benton, Kentucky, and uses Southern Harmony as its tune book. The Louie B. Nunn Center for Oral History houses the Benton Big Sing Oral History Project. Erin Fulton, representative for the project, sat down with me on April 27 to talk about my unique relationship to Southern Harmony and how it fed “Regret, Repent, Rejoice.” The project can be found here, and Raybon’s interview in particular can be found here. As of June 2021, the audio has not been uploaded yet, but it is coming.
