SACRED NINE PROJECT 2025 CHORAL CONCERT

Dear Beloved Singers,

As you know, our 2026 concert was thwarted by many conflicts. However, it was a blessing, as I would have been hard-pressed to offer something impactful in my usual humorous manner after the killings by ICE, which occurred just before our concert was to happen.

I wanted to sneak in a mini-concert before the year’s end but I don’t think the market will bear it!

I am not sure of the content yet. I have a few ideas:
-a conceptual event about AI: don’t ask lol
-a Belated Birthday for our country
-a “best of” the musical offerings of our country, like hymn arrangements, poetry, and song, including my arrangements of Stephen Foster songs (with contextualization, of course..things like “Hard Times).”

Below is the rehearsal, dress rehearsal, and performance schedule and it cannot be changed. Attendance at all rehearsals is required. You are allowed one absence if you have a conflict. However, I ask that you do not surprise me with other absences, or even with one absence if you have not marked it on your contract. The purpose of allowing one absence is if you already had a conflict at the time of the contract signing, or have a real emergency afterward; it is not a kind of “free pass” to miss at any time.

Please complete survey by Friday, October 23, 2026. My plan is to secure the same funds as before ($200). Not what you are worth, but it’s all I can do at the moment.

Please put these on your calendar! (and be careful about whether each is a 2-hour or 3-hour rehearsal; there are a couple of 3-hour rehearsals in there.

If you forget the rehearsal schedule, this website will stay here, but again…put the dates on your calendar ASAP!
